Road Trip to Brigantine

On the lighter side, i’ve been taking advantage of opportunities to just get out of the house (safely) and take pleasure in simpler, brief visits. I accompanied Oleg to Brigantine, NJ — Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and just was happy to be in the passenger seat and taking in the scenery.

Snowy Geese Migration and the Weekend

The weekend started out by traveling from NYC to Pennsylvania to witness the migration of Snowy Geese (Chen caerulescens) Approximately 30,000 snow geese are traveling en route to the Arctic.

Ordinarily, I'm really not an avid birder but this was the perfect opportunity to try out my new GoPro Hero4 Silver action cameras.

Here are some stills, shameless selfies, and self-promoting shots:

The weekend continued...

Visit to Pennsylvania's Roadside America

The world's greatest indoor miniature village (according to the brochure).  All in all not bad.

Winter storm: Snow, snow, snow everywhere.

Update photos: 6:45pm.  Doesn't seem to be letting up.

People who went to work early today (01/23/2016) are now trying to get home. The sidewalks were thick with snow and the winds (approx. 50 mph) were making the once shoveled walkways full again.
