Today began our family’s foster-to-adopt journey. We had our foster interaction this morning with Keimi (the foster parent), Stephanie (the adoption counselor) and or course, Sushi.
On the lighter side, i’ve been taking advantage of opportunities to just get out of the house (safely) and take pleasure in simpler, brief visits. I accompanied Oleg to Brigantine, NJ — Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and just was happy to be in the passenger seat and taking in the scenery.

For the first-time visitor, liturgy may be exhilarating… or confusing. Services may involve standing, sitting, kneeling, sung or spoken responses, and other participatory elements that may provide a challenge for the first-time visitor. However, liturgical worship can be compared with a dance: once you learn the steps, you come to appreciate the rhythm, and it becomes satisfying to dance, again and again, as the music changes.
